This “Jeopardy!” champion just earned his first Grammy nomination for Best Spoken Word Album. Who is…Ken Jennings.

Yes, Jennings was nominated for a Grammy Tuesday morning thanks to his work narrating Alex Trebek’s memoir, “Alex Trebek: The Answer Is…Reflections on My Life.” This is just the latest form of recognition for Jennings after on Monday he was named one of a rotating group of interim “Jeopardy!” hosts to fill in for the late Trebek.

Upon learning he was nominated though, Jennings was surprised at the recognition and wondered why Trebek himself hadn’t been nominated instead.

“Wait, what?” Jennings said in a tweet. “This should 100% be Alex’s Grammy nomination. He wrote the book and reads much of the audiobook! Who do I speak to about this?”

But Jennings will have some stiff competition. He goes up against Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea for his memoir “Acid For the Children,” MSNBC host Rachel Maddow for the reading of her book “Blowout: Corrupted Democracy, Rogue State Russia, And The Richest, Most Destructive Industry On Earth,” Ronan Farrow for “Catch And Kill” and Meryl Streep for a reading of E.B. White’s “Charlotte’s Web.”

“I want to win this for Alex, but taking down Meryl Streep (& Full Cast) is gonna be sweet,” Jennings added.

A representative for the Recording Academy did not immediately respond to a clarification on the rules for why Jennings was nominated over Trebek.

Never Hate

A “Great British Bake Off” contestant has spoken out against online bullying after a fellow baker’s surprise elimination helped put her through to the finals in the most recent episode of the competition series.

“It’s ok to be sad your favourite person didn’t go through, but please remember it’s not my fault. I don’t make the decisions. GBBO is all about kindness and I haven’t seen much of that on here,” Laura Adlington wrote on Twitter.

“It’s easy to sit there on your sofa and judge,” she continued. “But I am a real person with feelings. Please take a moment to consider your words before you judge someone you’ve never met and whose food you’ve never tasted.”

Adlington advanced to the “Great British Bake Off” finals after fan-favorite contestant Hermine failed to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. Hermine’s surprise elimination drew the ire of fans who pointed to her superior record in previous weeks as proof that she should have made it to the finals instead of Adlington.

In the days since the episode aired, Adlington says she has been on the receiving end of considerable online harassment.

Hot on the Heels!

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum and Season 11 Miss Congeniality winner Nina West shows off her campy (and slightly deranged) side in her new original music video “Cha Cha Heels,” an homage to the iconic John Waters films “Female Trouble,” “Serial Mom” and “Hairspray.”

The song’s title and opening sequence are inspired by Waters’ 1974 dark comedy “Female Trouble,” which starred pioneering drag queen Divine (aka Harris Glenn Milstead) as Dawn Davenport. All Dawn wanted for Christmas is cha cha heels, and she throws a fit when she doesn’t get them. West recreated the sequence (view the original here), right down to Dawn’s brown bouffant and babydoll nightgown.

The music video then transitions to a pie scene that mirrors “Serial Mom” and a dreamy dance sequence inspired by “Hairspray.” West talked to TheWrap about the inspiration behind the music video.

“I wrote the song last summer and it was really important for me to write something that was distinctly Christmas, distinctly queer, distinctly LGBTQ, and hadn’t really been done before.” West said. “I hadn’t seen a litany of [Waters’] material in pop culture so I was like, ‘I’m going to write a whole song about this scene from “Female Trouble” with Divine wanting those cha cha heels.'”

“I am a gigantic John Waters fan. I am supremely informed by Divine and his aesthetic and style of drag,” West continued. “The subject matter that I write about for sketches or shows or songs are all stuff that I’m really familiar with or things that I really love. So if it’s Disney or musical theater or in this case John Waters, I’m celebrating something that means a lot to me.”

Season 7 of “Drag Race” had a John Waters challenge and at the time, many of the younger contestants and fans didn’t understand how he and Divine were pioneers in queer and drag culture, respectively. Season 10 contestant Eureka even considered played Divine on “Drag Race’s” Snatch Game (she eventually played Honey Boo Boo instead, not being able to draw upon enough Divine references). That’s something West hopes will change with this video.

Never Mind the Bullocks, it's the Blackhearts!

ABC dropped a first look at Season 25 of “The Bachelor” on Tuesday, revealing the dramatic effect Matt James has on the women vying for his heart.

In the video, which you can watch below, you’ll see “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison point out that the ladies are “literally falling” for James — the ABC dating competition’s first Black lead — as they stumble getting out of the limos and trip walking up the stairs of the mansion to greet him for the first time.

We then get a glimpse of the lineup of the contestants hoping to get a proposal from James, and it looks like drama is definitely going to be brewing between some of them.

“Matt is a delicious man,” one says.

“The queen has arrived!” another shouts as she struts into a room, a scene that immediately followed up by a different contestant saying in a confessional: “Be wary of this girl.”

Then the crying starts, with one woman tearing up while saying, “What just happened was not OK.”

OK, back to Matt, who is asked by Harrison if he’s ever been in love, and he says he hasn’t. “My job is to change that,” the longtime “Bachelor” franchise host tells him.

We’ll see if Harrison pulls it off when “The Bachelor” Season 25 premieres Jan. 4 at 8/7c on ABC.

Streaming Tribe

Heads up, “Survivor” fans: two of the best seasons of all time — “Heroes vs. Villains” and “Cagayan” — are now streaming on Netflix. It’s a first for the blockbuster streaming site, which officially made available these two installments of CBS’s reality TV show on November 15. While there is still no official word on when the program can resume production in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, all 40 seasons will continue to stream on CBS All Access, with Jeff Probst serving as host.

A friendly Neighborhood ______ War

Alec Baldwin may be conceding his gig as Saturday Night Live‘s President Trump, but his next character’s ego sounds just as big.

ABC has given a series order to a muti-camera comedy starring Baldwin and Kelsey Grammer as two of three men — former roommates in their twenties whose “warring egos drove them apart” — who decide to come together several decades later “for one more run at the lives they’ve always wanted.” The series is being planned for the 2020–2021 TV season.

As reported by Deadline, the untitled project is written by Modern Family co-creator Chris Lloyd and Modern Family EP Vali Chandrasekaran, who will executive-produce the comedy alongside Baldwin, Grammer, Jason Schrift, Matt DelPiano, Tom Russo, Adam Griffin and Jeff Morton.

Baldwin is coming off an Emmy Award-winning run as SNL‘s Trump. He previously won two Emmys for playing 30 Rock‘s Jack Donaghy, a role that earned him eight other nominations.

And best known for playing Frasier Crane on both Cheers and Frasier — a role for which he won four Primetime Emmy Awards, along with 11 other nominations, between 1988 and 2004 — Grammer has also played memorable roles on shows like The Simpsons (as Sideshow Bob) and Boss (as Tom Kane).

(Bonus fact: The two actors have appeared together on TV before. Grammer played himself in three episodes of 30 Rock.)

One of the most recent cartoons to watch is Rick & Morty. but what about the music......well, one half of the Love Connection wranglers Rod Kim tells us about it.

Sadly, Nan-November is coming to an end. So let's have one last song from Christa Nannos before we jet for Turkey day weekend.

So if there are any Jeopardy! alums looking to do a spoken word album, then why is Wheel! doing a pop-up book? Maybe TPIR is going Scratch & Sniff. Or maybe LMAD with a 3-d Book.........

Well, I have to go shopping to get toast, Rold Gold Pretzels and Cracker Jack snacks so I can watch parades and football tomorrow and whatever's on Pluto TV back at The Rock House while Jamie Chandler and the Nerd Squad stream a socially distanced Thanksgiving concert across the street. Talk to all again in the time December rolls around and when Black Friday comes, be on the lookout for this sound.....
