But what did the world do these 27 days in November? We got this month's Yay & yawn of November,

The yay: Jeopardy! doing things to support the man with all the questions, er, answers including a appearance from......this guy.

And keeping things about quiz shows.....

The Yawn : Split Second and The Chase banished for good. Chase had 58 episodes and everyone seems to know all of the answers and gets replaced by Catch 21 2019 edition while Split Second moves out of daytime.....and onto weekends.

(song stops)

After this commercial word, GSN meet cutes....a phone company. That's......when Game Show Live returns.

(fade to break)

Madison: Some members of our viewing audience will receive....

A trip to Golden Corral. Why? To rest from all the Black Friday shopping doorbuster deals you've been eyeing for because after eating turkey your mom used to make, we got more than just the Thanksgiving dinner. Same goes to Charlie Brown. Remember that? Now back to our Cyber Monday shopping expert, Pierre Kelly!

Me: Thank you Madi and welcome back.

It seems that our Game Show gypsy queen Robyn Cage went away.........on social media, but don't worry, our mailroom has this letter and it reads this......

Hey Pierre!

As you may have heard, I left social media earlier this month, closing down my Instagram, Facebook & Twitter accounts.
I’m turning my focus back to making the best music I can make. I’ll release it to YouTubeSpotify & other streaming services - make sure you’re subscribed there so you don’t miss new releases!

HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENED SINCE:
  • I went through withdrawal. For the first 2 weeks, I probably looked at my phone 100 times a day (this is average for millennials) before immediately remembering I had nothing to check.
  • I had a breakthrough vocally. I like to train with different vocal coaches- everyone has something unique to offer- and I’m working with a lady who can wail high notes like nobody’s business. Learning to do the same is thrilling, and I can’t wait for you to hear the results!
  • I worked on a new Rock Opera. For those of you unfamiliar with the genre, imagine a concept album (i.e. Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” or The Who’s “Tommy”), fully staged and complete with a narrative and characters.
  • I spent time with loved ones. Family & friends are THE BEST.
  • I got the stomach flu. It was THE WORST.

HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING NEXT:

This Saturday, Nov. 30, I’m incredibly honored to be sharing the stage with some of Utah's finest musicians. The “The Last Waltz” is a re-creation of The Band’s farewell extravaganza, which featured the biggest names in music at the time: including Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, and more. I’ll be Joni Mitchell.

Wanna see the show for FREE?!?! Be my guest & join the guest list: http://www.depotslc.com/the-last-waltz
This month marked a new phase in my journey of making music. Leaving socials was one hell of a scary step to take, but the outpouring of support you showed reassured me that this was the right move. This week when we celebrate Gratitude, I’ll celebrate you, for I am so very, very grateful for you.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here with me. Have the most wonderful Thanksgiving!

Great big love,
R

And I still love you, too. Social media can be like two-edged diary sometimes, but we've confirmed she'll be once again directing the orchestra for the 3rd annual Game Show Live! honors which we'll get to later, but we got another segment and it is.....

Podcasts.....You should listen to.

Your recommendation for today is....

Because it's the last one of the year, we've saved the very best for last in 2019. Fun Time calls is hosted by my good friend and compadre Jordan Hass who has 2 of his backup posse, Ian and Jack. Together, the trio discusses things ranging from game shows(who doesn't?), Professionalized wrestling, streaming services and.......Egg Nog since we're in Nogvember. I'm not making this up. Should we add that to the Dictionarium? Anyways, the trio always do it on Twitch while you watch SNL at this.....

In the meantime, here's a link to listen to all this:

And there's a lot of places to listen to it especially Apple podcasts:

GSN has a found a new friend.

Sony has acquired AT&T's 42% stake in Game Show Network in a transaction with a total value of $500 million. After the deal, Sony will own 100% of the multimedia entertainment company, whose offerings are anchored by its namesake cable network, which airs original and classic game programming.
Game Show Network channel will continue to be carried on AT&T's DirecTV. Mark Feldman will continue as president and CEO of GSN.
Sony is positioning GSN's suite of game programming alongside its television unit's established game properties such as Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.
For AT&T, the deal furthers the company's objective to pay down debt and generate cash from non-strategic assets. The telecom and media giant, still digesting its $81 billion acquisition of Time Warner, has sold off a range of assets from real estate to equipment while also completing a massive restructuring of Time Warner, now known as WarnerMedia.
AT&T will receive $380 million from the stake sale, before certain transaction-related adjustments, as well as dividends of about $130 million, making the total value of the deal roughly $500 million.
"We're excited to bring Game Show Network fully into the Sony Pictures Entertainment portfolio," SPT chairman Mike Hopkins said. "The acquisition allows us to work more closely with the company's talented team to deliver the best iconic game shows, develop and syndicate new game show IP for audiences across the nation, as well as to advance the fast-growing GSN Games business, all of which directly aligns with our strategy of developing targeted direct-to-consumer offerings."
Game Show Network TV programming includes originals such as America Says, The Chase, Common Knowledge and Catch 21, syndicated titles including Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. It also airs classics like The $25,000 Pyramid and Card Sharks. GSN Games' mobile game portfolio includes GSN Casino, Bingo Bash, Solitaire TriPeaks, and WorldWinner.

The Switch is ITV's brand new daytime quiz show - how does it all work?
Sanjeev Bhaskar turns quiz master for the new gameshow, which currently airs weekdays on ITV at 3PM. ITV describes The Switch as a "fast-paced, incredibly high-question-volume quiz that is full of variety, unexpected twists and a huge amount of play along for viewers."
Host Sanjeev Bhaskar said: "The Switch is the perfect quiz for viewers who want their general knowledge tested to the limits. I'm delighted to be hosting." Contestants are first given a chance to bank as much money as they can individually in the 'Easy Money' clue-based round. Each answer could rhyme with a word, start or perhaps end with the same letter. Every correct answer is worth cash (round 1 £100, round 2 £200, round 3 £300) and they each have just 45 seconds to add to their money pots.
The three 'Easy Money' rounds alternate with 'Switch' rounds.
And here's where the quizzers can get tactical, as they're given the chance to 'stick or switch' question categories. Will they switch out their competitors' favourite subjects? Or will they focus on sticking their favourites? Once the categories are locked in the quiz changes to multiple choice questions. But there's a twist - one of the answers is incorrect. Contestants race to secure a correct answer. Choose the wrong one and you're 'switched out' of the game.
The 'switched out' player can only hope that one of the other contestants picks an invalid answer and brings them back into play. On the third and final question, the quizzer 'switched out' is eliminated. By the end of the final 'Switch' round, only two contestants are left with questions offering only the one right and one wrong answer. The player 'switched out' in the deciding third category question loses out, leaving the victor to progress through to the final round. In the last round, the one remaining player gets a last chance to 'switch out' the final categories.
Once categories are complete, they need to answer one question right in each category to win half their pot. Then they can gamble to run the board again to win their full cash prize. And if they've got enough time left - and are feeling extra brave - they can try the board for a third and final time to double their winnings.
ITV tease: "It's easy to get rich… if you survive The Switch!"
The Switch airs weekdays 3PM on ITV from Monday 25 November 2019 for four weeks.

And in AGT news.....

Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough will not be returning as judges for Season 15 of "America's Got Talent," an individual with knowledge of the situation confirms.
No word yet as to their replacements, although executive producer and judge Simon Cowell is expected to return, as well as long-time judge Howie Mandel and host Terry Crews.
NBC did not comment on the exits, and reps for Union and Hough didn't immediately respond to TheWrap.
Both Union and Hough joined the show in January 2019 when former judges Heidi Klum and Mel B exited due to other commitments.

There will be tons more "Summer Fun & Games" now that ABC has renewed Card Sharks, Press Your Luck, Match Game and the rest of its summertime game show slate.
Other renewed "Fun & Games" series include To Tell the Truth and $100,000 Pyramid (which like Match Game will enter Season 5), Celebrity Family Feud (for Season 6) and the previously announced second course of Holey Moley.
Of the above lot, Celeb Family Feud rated highest this summer (with a 0.84 demo rating in Live+Same Day numbers), followed by Press Your Luck, Pyramid, Holey Moley, Card Sharks, To Tell the Truth and then Match Game (which averaged a 0.56). "Summer has become synonymous with ABC's 'Fun & Games' brand," said ABC Entertainment's Rob Mills, SVP of Alternative Series, Specials and Late Night.
"To have these shows return is a testament to their strength, and the excitement and fun they bring each week. These are legit star-studded shows that celebrate everything we love about the spirit of competition. Thanks to them and The Bachelorette, we dominated summer and are doubling down on next year."

Speaking of fun,  here's a Gamestop game break. Look at the category......

And you all get this question.....

After this Google Play music interlude, you may get ice on it because Nan-November concludes with this little ditty from Christa Nannos......

And you all feel turned on to the answer......

Reflex. Make that a reflex gag.
