COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - “Wheel of Fortune” star Vanna White is working on a movie being filmed in Columbus. White is the executive director of “Electric Jesus”.
The movie follows a group of teens in a Christian Hair Metal Band during the summer of 1986. White says she’s worked on short films before, but this is first time working on a feature film.
Her brother, Chip White, is a producer for “Electric Jesus” and has already been spending some time in the Fountain City.
“When I first got here, my brother showed me all around just different locations and beautiful streets and all of that stuff and a lot of the resturaunts he pointed out so I hope to come back and spend a little time here. People are so friendly and nice and kind and awesome. It’s great. This is a great place to do a movie," White explained.
Filming in Columbus begins Tuesday. Director Chris White says they will film for 20 days in Columbus. Some filming locations include the old Spencer High School and a few houses in town.

Stripping Shark.......Oh forget it.

Shark Tank star Daymond John will not be hosting a weekend event at a West Palm Beach, FL strip club, which has been advertising his appearance on billboards near the venue.
A spokesperson tonight told Deadline that a report in the the Palm Beach Postthat John will have a one-night stand August 17 at the Spearmint Rhino Gentleman’s Club in West Palm Beach was the first John had heard of the event, saying it was set up by a third-party booking company.
“Daymond works with a booking company that books him for nightclub appearances every now and then,” the spokesperson said. “He was unaware of the type of venue this appearance was scheduled for, and once he was made aware, he immediately decided to not participate in the appearance and informed both the booking company and the venue that he will not be attending and does not want to be tied to this event. All advertising relating to the event is in the process of being removed.”

My parents went to New England and All i got was this messy Double Dare T-shirt

Ah, you really can’t beat Summers in the city. Specifically, we’re talking about TV host and producer Marc Summers, who was busy bouncing around the Hub this weekend.

Summers — who’s known for hosting one of our personal childhood favorites, Nickelodeon’s slime-drenched game show “Double Dare” — apparently satisfied his seafood fix while visiting a friend in town. He and local interior designer Taniya Nayak met up for a meal at Neptune Oyster.
He and Nayak, who appears on Summer’s Food Network production baby “Restaurant: Impossible” alongside celebrity chef Robert Irvine, hit up the North End eatery for their “annual Boston get together.” Summers followed up their visit to the Salem Street spot by boldly labeling it the “best seafood in Boston” on social media.
In addition to connecting with Nayak, Summers also showed that he swung by his “happy place,” aka Fenway Park. The star shared a video from the stands, where he watched the Red Sox lose to the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday.
And before heading here, Summers made a spooky stop in our northern New England neighbor. It looks like he checked out Stephen King’s distinctive mansion in Bangor, Maine, snapping a photo of the spider web- and bat-adorned gates in front of the horror writer’s abode.
Summers, who’s also known for hosting the Food Network show “Unwrapped,” is no stranger to our neck of the woods. In his younger years, he actually attended Grahm Junior College.

Next Monday kicks off the revamp of Tellymime and Game Show Live! will have the premiere next Wednesday. To give you an idea of what the new version is all about, here's Yancey in this sneeky peeky of the new show.

Now for some award news.

The Daytime Emmys in 2020 will combine the Outstanding Younger Actress and Outstanding Younger Actor awards into one gender-neutral category, our sister site Variety reports. (UPDATE:Per Variety, a decision has not yet been made, but the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) is considering the change.)
NATAS is also expected to announce that coinciding with that potential change, the possible new category will include performers from both broadcast dramas and digital series.
The Daytime Emmys already keep things gender-neutral with its Outstanding Special Guest Performer category.
The young performer categories first debuted at the 1985 Daytime Emmys, at which time they were named the Outstanding Ingenue and Outstanding Young Man awards; Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren, The Young and the Restless) and Brian Bloom (Dusty, As the World Turns) were the inaugural winners.

Actress Courtney Hope, who plays Sally Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful, took to her official Instagram account to share an exciting upcoming gig – she’ll be appearing on The Price Is Right. Soaps.com has the post and photo from the set, in which Hope enthused, “What a FUN first day! You may catch a familiar face on @therealpriceisright starting October 3rd 😝😍🙌🏼!! Thanks for this great experience @cbsdaytime!!” Considering it was her first day, it’s safe to assume this is a stint and not just a single appearance. In the comments below her announcement, Hope’s co-worker, Jeremy Ray Valdez, who returns to Bold and Beautiful as Detective Alex Sanchez this month, reacted with an impressed, “Noooooo waaaaay!!!!” Additionally, a fan, Leslie Vent, who had visited CBS in the past hilariously warned, “Whatever you do, don’t play with the wheel! I got in trouble for that once while visiting the Y&R set. Oops!”
The actress’ character has been on the back burner after splitting from her latest love interest on Bold and the Beautiful, the soap opera she joined in 2017, but viewers can expect to see Sally soon as Wyatt (Darin Brooks) will have some amends to make following the explosive reveal of the secret his new girlfriend, Flo (Katrina Bowden) has been keeping. Hope is also awaiting the release, later this month, of the Remedy video game, Control, that she ‘stars’ in and voices as the main character, in which players ‘regain control’ by mastering supernatural abilities. The game’s release date is set as August 27.
Courtney Hope’s stint on The Price is Right is scheduled to begin Thursday October 3, so mark your calendars and set your DVRs so as not to miss.

And I hope we end Livewire! with Angie Kielhauer as we continue Acoustic August with a popular hit entitled "Runaway."

That's all for now, but remember one thing: Will Pat Sajak ever make a cameo appearance in a DCEU movie? Come on, Stan Lee did it for Marvel.

So until next time and all the time.....play on playas.
