CBS has decided to score a show called TKO.

No, not that one, the other one!!!!!

CBS has ordered 10 episodes of TKO (working title), an obstacle course competition reality series with a twist, from Survivor executive producer Mark Burnett and MGM Television, for premiere this summer.
TKO joins CBS' recent series order to The World's Best, a global talent competition series from Burnett and fellow reality heavyweight Mike Darnell as the network, home of long-running hits Survivor, Big Brother and The Amazing Race, clearly is ramping up its unscripted portfolio.
TKO (wt) is an original format created by Steve Hughes and Sean Kelly of Shaggy Entertainment that is reminiscent of Legoland water rides. It features one player racing through daunting obstacles while the other contestants are manning battle stations along the course, firing over-the-top projectiles in an attempt to knock them off and slow them down. It's a physical and funny "us versus them" scenario, with the top two players advancing to the final showdown to face off for a cash prize.
"Mark Burnett is a master at creating exciting competitions that make for entertaining television," said Sharon Vuong, SVP, Alternative Programming for CBS. "We are thrilled to partner with him and his team on this wild and fun summer series."
Last summer, CBS launched game show Candy Crush, which is not expected to come back.
TKO will be produced by MGM Television and distributed internationally by MGM. Burnett, President MGM Television Group and Digital, and Barry Poznick, President, Unscripted Television, MGM, are executive producers. "TKO is unlike any other competition show on television. It's an obstacle course meets dodgeball. It will create amazing viral moments," said Burnett. "I've got a great history with CBS, and I'm excited to be premiering this summer."

Last December, Twitch announced that it would be making a live-streaming reality show, Stream On. In it, Twitch creators who need a boost to make streaming a full-time gig compete against one another in a series of challenges, Survivor-style, for a grand prize of $60,000, delivered across 12 months. Now the details are out, with the live game show set to debut with 14 competitors on March 8th at 3:00 pm PST (6pm ET)
With Stream On, you'll get to see up-and-coming Twitch Partners judged on their ability to perform various essential skills for streaming, like motivating viewers with a call to action. You'll also be able to take part via a custom interactive overlay, which will let you vote on who to eliminate after each round. The 14 participants include competitive gamers, of course, but also chefs, musicians and other creative artists, including 88bitmusic, Banzaibaby, CiraCorellia. CookingforN00b, FerociouslySteph, GlanFM, Koibu, MajinTaj, Suchikuchi, thaButtress, TheOnlyRyann, TheStaceyRoy, Wavy and Xmiramira.

Face this if you will.....

Nina Conti is piloting a new celebrity game show.

The comedy ventriloquist will use masks to go over the jaws of the contestants in Face Time – turning them into 'living puppets' so she can make them answer the questions however she wants, and in whatever tone of voice.

It's a technique she has previously used on Live At The Apollo and her stage show, which has had two West End runs.

She will be recording the try-out episode of the show at the London Studios next month with a view to a possible series – although the pilot is not for broadcast.

Producers say the show 'promises to be lots of fun [and] packed with stars', who will be competing to win money for charity.

Couple of stories left starting with............

Channel 3 in Thailand is among broadcasters around the world readying local versions of a new gameshow format from Vivendi Entertainment's Flab Prod in France.

The Thai version of Couple or Not?, which was originally created for France's C8, has started production ahead of a July launch.

Elsewhere, Hungary's TV2 is producing 25 episodes that will air daily in early primetime in the coming weeks, while Russia's Mastiff is making a local version for UTV to air daily in the spring.

Italian prodco Magnolia is also adapting the show, as is Xanela Producciones in Spain.

Couple or Not? challenges a pair of contestants to disguise themselves as the ideal couple while others guess whether they are single or not across five rounds to win a cash prize.

The format sales were announced by Matthieu Porte, Vivendi Entertainment's executive VP of international and development.

And finally......

8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown is to do an all-female show to mark 100 years since some women in the UK won the right to vote.
Channel 4 have commissioned the special alongside a new 12-part series from programme-makers Zeppotron.
The production company's managing director, Ruth Phillips, said: 'It's going to be a real privilege for us to make this one off all-women version of the show, to celebrate 100 years of female suffrage.
'Over the years 8 Out Of 10 Cats has had the opportunity to help launch and nurture the TV careers of a wealth of brilliant female comedy talent on Channel 4, so it feels like a natural extension for us to now provide an all-female platform for many of the funniest stars of the comedy world.
'We like to think that if Emmeline Pankhurst were to have a favourite comedy panel show with cats in the title, it would probably be this one.'

The line for the one-off special will be announced later.

Time for a Gamestop Game Break. Test your knowledge of romantic places.

According to US News and World Report, what was the #1 romantic destination in the us?

Ponder that for a bit after the Google Play music interlude as Samantha Ballard, geek and harpist play for us.

So, we get to the answer: Napa Valley, California.

After a visit to Napa Valley in the 1880s, writer Robert Louis Stevenson pronounced, "Wine is bottled poetry." You'll see this quote as you pass the area's landmark sign on Highway 29. Unfortunately, Stevenson was referring to French wine — what Napa vintners should aspire to. But as the film "Bottle Shock" documents, California wineries have since risen to the level of their European predecessors. Now, both connoisseurs and amateurs savor the respected vintages from Napa.

Relationship Disasters. A month of disastrous TV shows involving dating.
Today's relationship disaster: Science of Love.

What is dating met science? Well, that's what Science of Love is all about.

Science of Love: A Modern Dating Experiment is an NBC reality dating special hosted by Mark Consuelos and starring NFL football player Adam Johnson. The show was produced by 3 Ball Productions and Joke Productions. It premiered on Monday, June 25, 2007.[1]
The one-hour TV special explored whether science could offer a method of achieving love, and pitted experimental methods against a more instinctual approach.[2][3]
After choosing a woman he was initially attracted to, Adam was then presented with a date chosen by him for science. After dating both, Adam had to choose whether or not he wanted to continue with the woman he originally chose, or the option presented to him by science.[4]
On the special, the scientific match, Casey Dee, won Adam's heart. As a prize, the two were flown to Hawaii.

Bill Nye would've been a better host had it not been for a......
