"Dancing with the Stars" is gearing up to celebrate its 25th season, and the new celebrity cast are sparkling up their wardrobe, breaking in their dancing shoes and readying themselves for their first dance on the ballroom floor, as the season kicks off on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. This season's lineup of celebrity dancers includes a "Shark," a married couple whose pro partners are also a married couple, a "Pretty Little Liar," a "Property Brother," an 80s pop icon, a WWE superstar and a NBA champion, among others.
Additionally, ABC is launching the first-ever official Dancing with the Stars Fantasy League on September 6 on abc.com/dfl. The game allows players to predict which couple will win the season and take home the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. Players earn points for correct predictions, and each point is an entry into the grand-prize drawing for a chance to win a trip for four to Disney's Aulani Resort in Hawaii and other exclusive prizes. Beginning September 19, fans can also play the weekly game to earn more points and chances to win. Each week, players choose three couples they predict will earn the highest scores in that week's episode(s). Emily Maynard’s ex is ready to wear his heart on his sleeve (again).
It what turned out to be the verbal equivalent of a shrug emoji, ABC on Thursday morning revealed that Bachelorette Season 8 runner-up Arie Luyendyk Jr. will be The Bachelor for Season 22, premiering at midseason. The announcement — which came on the heels of last week’s delayed reveal, and after a series of teasey tweets by series creator Mike Fleiss — was made on Good Morning America.
A 35-year-old auto racing driver, Luyendyk Jr. vied for Maynard’s hand in 2012, but she ultimately chose Jef Holm. At the time, Maynard opted to forgo her final date with Luyendyk Jr., instead telling him that her heart belonged to Holm. Three months later, Maynard and Holm called off their engagement.
Luyendyk Jr.’s casting comes nearly a week after the new Bachelor was first expected to be announced on the Sept. 1 GMA. At the time, Bachelorette Season 13 runner-up Peter Kraus was considered a shoo-in, but Fleiss took to social media earlier this week to reveal that Kraus would “probably not” get a second chance at finding small-screen love, after all.

Shortly after ABC announced Arie, a professional auto racing driver turned real estate agent from Scottsdale, AZ, has been named The Bachelor star for Season 22 on Good Morning America, Emily and close pal Sean expressed their support.
"I can't think of a better person to be The Bachelor than Arie and I've been hoping this day would come since Season 8 ended!" Emily, 31, told Us Weekly. "He's a gentleman through and through and all the girls on his season are lucky to have him."
"I'll be wishing him nothing but the best because that's absolutely what he deserves!" Emily added of Arie.
Meanwhile, Sean -- who is currently married to his final The Bachelor pick, Catherine Giudici, with one child -- became friends with Arie on Season 8 of The Bachelorette and apparently believes the franchise's latest star is the perfect choice.
"It's about time! Couldn't have picked a better guy," Sean tweeted Thursday.

CBS today announced it will broadcast its first celebrity edition of reality hit BIG BROTHER. The special winter edition will feature multiple episodes per week during a concentrated run and include the series' signature Head of Household and Power of Veto competitions and live evictions. Julie Chen will host.
CBS All Access, the CBS Television Network's subscription video on demand and live-streaming service, will again share all the action from inside the house with its 24/7 live feed. Also, Pop TV will provide fans the exclusive live television broadcast of BIG BROTHER AFTER DARK, an unfiltered late-night feed from inside the house. Additional details regarding scheduling and casting will be announced at a later date.
The celebrity edition of the series is in addition to BIG BROTHER's milestone 20th season that will be broadcast in summer 2018.

Cash or Splash looks on as contestants compete to protect their $1 million cash prize and avoid getting dropped into freezing water during a seven-question game. The format is already airing successfully on TRT in Turkey. The four-season show has a total of 80 episodes.

Rylan Clark-Neal is to host a new swimming based game show called The Wave.
The series, which will air on UKTV's W channel later this year, will involve pairs of contestants.
One will stay on land with host Rylan while the other will head out into open water.
One contestant will have to swim out to pontoons in order to answer questions to win money but will find themselves weight down by rocks if they get an answer wrong.
They'll then have to return to the shore against the clock in order to win win the cash prize.
A source told The Sun: "Swimming out in open sea is tough enough as it is. But a bag full of rocks could really end in tears for those taking part.
"Show bosses will be watching nervously, hoping contestants don’t get in too much bother before the safety boat intervenes.”
Rylan said of the show: "It’s sunny, it’s sexy and it’s funny. What more could you want?
"I can’t wait to work with an amazing team, playing a really fun game and can’t wait to meet our brave contestants who are going to be taking on The Wave.”
The Wave is expected to air on W from November with 10 episodes lined up.

Rylan Clark-Neal is to host a new swimming based game show called The Wave.
The series, which will air on UKTV's W channel later this year, will involve pairs of contestants.
One will stay on land with host Rylan while the other will head out into open water.
One contestant will have to swim out to pontoons in order to answer questions to win money but will find themselves weight down by rocks if they get an answer wrong.
They'll then have to return to the shore against the clock in order to win win the cash prize.
A source told The Sun: "Swimming out in open sea is tough enough as it is. But a bag full of rocks could really end in tears for those taking part.
"Show bosses will be watching nervously, hoping contestants don’t get in too much bother before the safety boat intervenes.”
Rylan said of the show: "It’s sunny, it’s sexy and it’s funny. What more could you want?
"I can’t wait to work with an amazing team, playing a really fun game and can’t wait to meet our brave contestants who are going to be taking on The Wave.”
The Wave is expected to air on W from November with 10 episodes lined up.

Cable TV these days is a wasteland. Marathons of old shows, extended local news that normally starts where kids use to watch cartoons back in the day, copycat talk shows that copy "The View" or something or anything else you can think of. Thankfully, my house switched to cheap old antenna stuff where we watch classic TV. But our Lip Sync Idiotesters Kristin & Danny might be on to something. Let's check it out.

Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios....you know, the one known for such things in syndication at around 11pm late nights, has asked actress Britanni Johnson to play announcer for a CW daytime version of "Funny You Should Ask." The program will air in mid-morning to early afternoon spots.....

I'm so glad Buzzr's Lost & Found is back and one black sheep in the Buzzr family made it this week. It's Richard Simmons: Dream Maker. In it, individuals fulfills the wishes thanks to who else? Fitness guru Richard Simmons. Kinda like the 1983 short-lived NBC show Fantasy. What hath Buzzr got? I know you got some new rarities but why can't you put a talk show on there. GSN tried it with Love Triangle in 2011 because it implanted a talk show wrinkle, so did Change of Heart, it was a dating show, but it was 3/4 talk. So how will we see a 1-season wonder from 1999? Well, we have to either get on Netflix or go outside and play. That's the way it works.
