Me: We begin with a tragic loss last Friday. As many of you know, Leonard Nimoy has passed away at the age of 83. In The Starting Line today, we pay tribute to the man better known as Dr. Spock. The actor was also known for the popular 70's program "In Search of..." He was also in the game show world. He appeared on "What's My Line?", the $20,000 pyramid and the "Hollywood Squares." His last tweet on.Twitter was this:
"A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP"
May he rest in peace. We'll return with more after this.

Bit of house cleaning:
On Monday nights, starting March 9th, Steve Harvey's Family Feud will replace a rerun of The Chase at 9pm ET. On Friday nights, starting March 13th, a rerun of The Chase will replace The Newlywed Game in the 8pm ET hour.
Guess that might work or not.
Slow week in the newsroom meant a new segment. We want to let the fans know why you like ir dislike the way GSN is going. Does it require you to change it? Are you obsessed with a show you like? Are you mad about why you look at the schedule every bit of it? Well get ready, because this week is the premiere of....

Not quite. Perhaps this rant went to Mary Janevero. She says this and i want you to look at it. It reads:
"I commented yesterday and have received several "replies" that agreed with me that you need to do something about the Steve Harvey / Family Feud Show being aired continuously. We are getting tired of looking at it and it's endless repeats. Why is this happening? I have watched your network for many years, it is a very popular station that has fun game shows that should not only include this one man. Secondly, the name does not justify it being a family friendly game there is some pretty raw topics that are being presented. What's that about? You really need to do something about this."
Well Michael Yearsley. Tell her.
"The reason that Steve Harvey's episodes of "Feud" are on multiple times a day is because his episodes consistently bring in the highest ratings GSN sees on any given day.
The questions asked on the show nowadays are mainly geared toward Steve's style of humor. There are some non-sexual related questions that are still asked, but only about a third of the time."

When GSN started out, it was all interactivity. Prime Games was that example. Peter Tomarken and later Marianne Curan hosted this interactive show that lets fans participate by landline phone, yes this was before cell phone service came out, for stuff while watching classic game shows. Imagine winning an archery set while watching Bullseye. Oh and dig the set. The phone numbers flash in front of your very eyes. It set the trend for GSN Live a decade later. Prime Games...
