Before we go to break, remember when we showed you the Catch 21 reboot idea from last year? Well, let's talk prizes for a bit.
Anyone who gets the first 21 of the day gets a trip with a Marriott hotel stay. Wyndham hotel stuff needs to stay out. That belongs to 25 Words or Less. Winner of the match gets $5000, bonus round is the same, but the first catch 21 gets $10,000, $25,000 for the second and $100,000 plus a car if you get all 3. Plus there's a bailout if you think a hand could go over 21 with something from Best Buy in hopes you get immune of losing everything. You could also stop here if you want. What do you guys think?

We play golf with the emmy winners. Please use #GameShowLive on social media to spread the word and kill the negativity to us, please, would you? At the end of the program, I'll give you the contacts to buzz me but whatever you shall do or whatever you don't do, sit tight. After the ad break, movie news, Family Feud's 50th birthday plans, A mistplay game break, a moment in recent TPiR and more. It's Game Show Live! where every Top 40 station is a #Sundayfunday around lunchtime.

Here's some Malco Theaters movie news.
An official Call of Duty movie is in development at Paramount Pictures, with the studio partnering with Activision. Peter Berg and Taylor Sheridan are attached to direct and co-write the script. The film is intended to be a blockbuster that will honor the franchise's narrative and style while potentially leading to a larger cinematic universe across film and TV. Details about the plot, cast, and release date have not yet been announced.
And if you want to see Sonic in Imax....think again. That's because....
While Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was listed for IMAX in some regions like Mexico and on Letterboxd, it didn't secure a major IMAX release in the U.S., largely due to clashes with other big releases like Mufasa and director Jeff Fowler's preference for formats like Dolby. Neither Sonic 1 nor Sonic 2 received significant IMAX runs, with Sonic 2 even losing out to Ambulance, though fans pushed for later films, with speculation and hope for future installments like Sonic 4 to get the IMAX treatment.
It's been a busy week for awards nominations, and now the Producers Guild of America is out with its hopefuls for the PGA Awards spanning film and TV.
The list is a who's-who of 2026 awards contenders, but includes one big surprise with the inclusion of Zach Cregger's well-reviewed horror hit Weapons, which hadn't popped up on any precursor Best Picture list before today. It also comes from Warner Bros, which — with One Battle After Another, Sinners and its distribution deal for Apple's F1 — has four of the 10 nominees.

Let's hit the pause button for this.
This year, Family Feud turned 50. What began as a concept to get families to respond to survey questions in a nationwide telephone survey turned into an international favorite around the world. But the Feud of today seemed for have turned it up way too much. In fact, one viewer thought enough is enough already.
But there is more.
While there are some loyal fans like you who watch Family Feud faithfully, and others who have given up interest (like I have) out of boredom or simple fatigue, the split says a lot about where the show now stands. It isn’t just about personal taste anymore. That growing disconnect is why the audience has quietly divided into those still hanging on and those who have already tuned out. (compared to NCIS, American Idol, The Voice, Dancing With The Stars, Grey's Anatomy, One Chicago, AGT and others) For a show that once felt like a promising, good-spirited survey duel, it has turned into an "overstayed" problematic and insulting excuse for mass reactions, manufactured madness, and borderline NSFW questions; much like so many other shows that have shifted away from what made them work. With all the signs of boredom and fatigue; aside from the rare excitement of something like seeing Tom Cruise on the big screen for the first time. I personally do not trust this show anymore; Compared to the way I'm hating on Jimmy Kimmel, Fremantle, BuzzerBlog, SVU, Taylor Swift, the One Chicago trio, Press Your Luck, Marvel Studios, NCIS without Mark Harmon, Ryan Seacrest hosting Wheel, Chappell Roan, Investigation Discovery, Every True Crime program, Advertisers bugging every streaming service, Match Game (post-Baldwin), Sarah Hester Ross, Hazbin Hotel, Tic Tac Dough and Bingo Blitz on GSN, David Zaslav, and Jelly Roll (specifically with his single being in Sonic Movie 3 which I'm still pissed about). What the producers and showrunners should do is make a decision: either give it a couple more years to rediscover what it’s supposed to be, or just cut the cord already. Dragging it along in this awkward, attention-seeking state is only going to make the fall worse. If the franchise still has something left to say, let it prove it. If not, let it end with whatever dignity it has left instead of pretending the noise is the same thing as success.
TelevisaUnivision is rounding out the cast of their new reality competition, ¿Apostarías por Mí? (Would You Bet on Me?), which is set to start on January 18.
Alejandra Espinoza and Alan Tacher are the main hosts of the show, who will front the galas every night, and they will be joined by a trio of show analysts who will give their takes on all the drama unfolding on TV.
Singer Lupillo Rivera has joined the reality series to share his opinions on the competition, as he is known for his strategic approach, having previously participated in La Casa de los Famosos.
Host and actress Cecilia Galliano and Jorge Lozano H. will also join the panel of analysts. Espinoza and Tacher will also be joined by Roberto Hernández as co-host of the primetime shows.
Given that ¿Apostarías por Mí? has a digital component, with the streaming platform Vix playing a large role in the show's 24/7 experience, it needs a couple of hosts. Arana Lemus and Lambda García have been tapped to co-host the pre- and post-shows, which will run as bookends to the main show.
During the reality competition presentation, the latest couple was confirmed, with Salvador Zerboni joining the series alongside his partner Marcela Ruiz. Previously confirmed couples included Raúl "El Pelón" and Laura Molinar; Adrián Di Monte and Nuja Amar; Beta Mejía and Alejandra Jaramillo; Franco Tradardi and Breh Badassifier; René Strickler and Rubí Cardozo; Jim Velásquez and Alina Lozano; Gigi Ojeda and David Leal; Tibi Camacho and José Medina; and Lorenzo Méndez and Claudia Galván. The remaining two couples will be announced in the coming days.
The show will have a 24/7 livestream on Vix with eight channels dedicated exclusively to ¿Apostarías por Mí? The show will have nightly galas starting on Sundays on Univision and weekdays on UniMás at 8 p.m. ET. ¿Apostarías por Mí? will have an international rollout, premiering simultaneously in México and Latin America, alongside the U.S. broadcast.
TelevisaUnivision's Las Estrellas in México will premiere the competition on Sunday, January 18 at 9 p.m. on linear, with the weekly galas streaming on Vix. Latin American audiences will be able to watch the show exclusively on Vix.
¿Apostarías por Mí? is based on an Abot Hameiri Communication format distributed by Dori Media International and produced by Fremantle for TelevisaUnivision.

The song remains the same: Warner Bros. Discovery has turned down the latest acquisition offer by David Ellison's Paramount Skydance, and WBD's board is continuing to back the company's deal with Netflix.
On Wednesday, WBD officially responded to Paramount's latest $30/share all-cash bid for all of Warner Bros. Discovery — its eighth takeover offer to date.
Paramount Skydance's offer "is not more favorable to WBD stockholders than the Netflix Merger and continues to be inadequate," including because of its "insufficient value, taking into account price and numerous risks, costs and uncertainties," WBD said in an SEC filing, referring to Paramount Skydance by its ticker symbol "PSKY."
The WBD board reiterated its belief that Paramount's proposal is much riskier and questioned Paramount's ability to close such a deal. The board's letter also noted that Paramount's offer is nonbinding: "The Offer is entirely at PSKY's discretion – PSKY can reduce the price, impose new conditions, or walk away entirely at any time prior to its acceptance of tendered shares," WBD said in the filing.

Freedx, a next-generation cryptocurrency exchange focused on accessibility and user experience, is introducing a new way for the crypto community to learn and engage: The Freedx Quiz Show, a live, interactive quiz streaming on Twitch.
Scheduled for January 9 at 18:00 CET (noon ET), the show combines live competition with audience interaction, allowing both contestants and viewers to engage with crypto related questions in real time.
According to Freedx, the show will be hosted by Karim Emam, the company's Chief Strategy Officer. Contestants will answer questions that gradually increase in difficulty, covering topics such as blockchain fundamentals, digital assets, and general market concepts.
The structure appears designed to appeal to a broad range of users, from those with prior trading experience to newer participants looking to test their understanding of core ideas. Questions are time limited, placing emphasis on quick decision making and practical knowledge rather than deep technical detail.
Freedx has indicated that the quiz show is intended as a recurring format. Future editions may introduce new question styles, rotating hosts, and additional interactive elements, suggesting an ongoing content strategy rather than a single promotional event.
Unlike traditional quiz formats, the broadcast places significant emphasis on viewer participation. Those watching the stream will be able to engage through live chat, respond to polls, and take part in knowledge prompts throughout the show.
By using Twitch as its primary platform, Freedx is tapping into an environment where interaction and community feedback are central to the viewing experience. Viewers are encouraged to follow the progression of contestants, compare answers, and engage collectively as the questions unfold.

Speaking of quizzes, we got one in the form of a Mistplay Game Break. What's the connection from these clues?
- This show ran from 1988-1998.
- This was based off of a TV special.
- a November 3, 1988 episode caused controversy.
- It was first filmed at the Rialto Theater in NYC.
That's it for this week, today's consolation prize is a collection of Dilbert comic strips. May the creator of DIlbert rest his soul in God.
