Netflix is set to answer the question: What’s In The Box?
The Neil Patrick Harris-hosted game show is set to drop on the streamer on December 17.
The six-part series comes from British production company Rollercoaster Television, which is part of ITV Studios.
In the show, giant boxes conceal prizes, surprises and unexpected reveals and the show tests smarts, strategy and stamina. Over several episodes, pairs of contestants face off in trivia rounds, racing to correctly guess what’s inside each box. But winning a prize is just the beginning. As the game unfolds, shifting alliances and unexpected twists mean only those with sharp instincts — and a little luck — will hold onto their winnings and claim victory.
It is exec produced by James Fox, Dom Waugh, Wes Kauble and Leanne Witcoop.
What’s In The Box? was one of a number of unscripted shows ordered by Netflix this year; other titles include Harry Jowsey’s Let’s Marry Harry, Simon Cowell: The Next Act, which is also set to premiere next month, Nick Viall and Natalie Joy-hosted dating show Age of Attraction, Palm Beach reality series Members Only, which is also set to drop in December, and Calabasas Confidential.

Adding to the excitement, the competition will take a daring turn with "Fear Night," featuring none other than Fear Factor: House of Fear host Johnny Knoxville, who joins as a special guest to deliver clues - and a few creepy crawlies - in true Masked Singer style.
In addition, the season will include a special musical anthology episode, "Ozzfest," honoring the legendary Ozzy Osbourne. Food Network has unveiled the cast of Worst Cooks in America Season 30, and the contestants are about to get a "Reality Check." Ten television personalities will turn up the heat in the kitchen and get tested by Chefs Jeff Mauro and Tiffany Derry as they attempt to transform the all-star cast from cooking disasters to kitchen masters. The new season of the competition series premieres on Sunday, January 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Food Network.
The all-star cast of Worst Cooks in America Season 30 includes Lisa Barlow (The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City), Downtown Julie Brown (MTV VJ), Val Chmerkovskiy (Dancing with the Stars), Reza Farahan (Shahs of Sunset and The Valley: Persian Style), Amara La Negra (Love & Hip Hop: Miami and Univision's Desiguales), Ryan Lochte (Olympic swimmer), Manila Luzon (RuPaul's Drag Race), Romeo Miller (rapper/actor), Beverley Mitchell (7th Heaven) and CT Tamburello (The Challenge and The Traitors USA).
"The kitchen is not where this season's celebrity recruits shine – but Jeff and Tiffany are determined to change that," said Betsy Ayala, Head of Content, Food, Warner Bros. Discovery. "Worst Cooks is where comedy and cooking chaos collide, but in the end there are some impressive culinary transformations that will blow our audience away."
Chefs Jeff Mauro and Tiffany Derry are ready to mold these stars into kitchen MVPs – but first, they need to see what they are working with. In the baseline challenge, the celebs whip up red carpet-worthy dishes to show off, or expose, their culinary chops. Then in the main dish challenge, the chefs teach their teams how to make a bold and spicy Piri Piri chicken. Some recruits rise to the occasion, while others fizzle out. The least successful celebs must face off in a blind elimination cook-off and only one will survive to cook another day.

Fremantle has acquired international distribution and production rights to "The Advent Calendar," an original festive-themed dating format, where one single is on a quest to find love in time for Christmas by opening 24 doors of a larger-than-life Advent calendar.
The series, created by Canada's Sphere Media in collaboration with Bell Media for Canadian streaming platform Crave, blends "the charm of holiday-movie magic with playful real-world dating," Fremantle said.
Across 24 days in December, the hopeful romantic opens a new door each episode to unveil potential suitors and "enchanting" seasonal experiences, "embarking on a one-of-a-kind dating experience." With every reveal, the singletons waiting behind each door are competing to win their heart by Christmas, all hoping to be the one invited home to meet their family.
Guided by a "beloved" comedian and host – affectionately known as the "fairy godmother" – the players are taken on a variety of dates, complete with romantic twists and funny moments. On the final day, only one suitor can be chosen to receive an extra special gift, accompanying them to their family's Christmas dinner. Filmed in a "fantasy-built world filled with festive decor," the light-hearted series "makes the dream of a classic Christmas fairytale a reality," Fremantle said.
Vasha Wallace, exec VP, global acquisitions and development, Fremantle, said, "We fell in love with 'The Advent Calendar' the moment we saw it – a supersized Christmas calendar guiding someone on their search for love is instantly iconic. It's charming, imaginative and full of festive sparkle. Sphere Media have created something truly special, and we're thrilled to be partnering with them again, following the success of 'The House of Secrets,' to bring this joyful Christmas dating format to audiences around the world."

Netflix's new mobile game show "Best Guess Live" launches Monday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, and on night one both hosts Howie Mandel ("America's Got Talent") and Hunter March ("Sugar Rush") will be on hand to explain how the competition works.
The mobile game shoots live every weeknight from Apploff Entertainment's offices in Los Angeles — with Mandel and March taking turns as hosts.
After downloading the "Best Guess Live" app, players can win up to $15,000 a game, as they're asked to guess what one of the evening's secret items are. It could be a person, a place or a thing, and players will have to figure it out through a series of five clues (shared, of course, as riddles). The first people to figure out the item correctly share the pot — but you only get one guess per puzzle. There are two puzzles per day, but there will also be other special "scratch off" elements for additional offers or gifts on some episodes.
"We want people sitting on the edge of their seat going, 'oh my god, I think I know what it is, but I'm not going to answer it,'" said executive producer Jeff Apploff ("Beat Shazam," "Don't Forget the Lyrics"), who created the show with Noah Bonnett. "The idea is, everybody who puts in the correct answer in the earliest clue shares in the money. We go through all of the clues, and everybody gets to give their answer. Usually by the fifth clue, you really kind of get it. The idea is that once you see the five clues together, you get that 'aha' moment."
If this reminds you of the "HQ Trivia" phenomenon of 2018, you're not the only one. "HQ Trivia" was white hot for a split second, and spawned several imitators. Around that same time, Bonnett came to Apploff with the idea behind "Best Guess Live," and they got excited about a "what's in the box"-style game that was completely different from "HQ Trivia." But then "HQ Trivia" quickly fizzled, and suddenly no one was interested in a mobile quiz show anymore.
"They got so big and then went away so quickly, so everybody freaked out," Apploff said. "When you do a game like this, it's a big investment. It's a lot of money to put it together. It's expensive to do the app. So we kind of kept it there."
But then Netflix came calling. And the show that premieres Monday night is almost identical to what Apploff and his team first pitched the streamer.
"We have beautiful graphics and we're able to have all these people from around the country play, but the key is having the perfect host to do it. And we have that in Hunter, and we have that in Howie."

Time to go 3 In the Key before we take a one way flight back to Pacific Bay. Here's 3 things about Weakest Link moving to Fox.
1. More stars? Yes More stars. Even the BBC has one with Romesh Rangathan as presenter compared to NBC with Anne Robinson which caused the show to cancel before it went syndciated.
2. Jane Lynch is back. She's back and doesn't need a bullhorn and a track suit to use it.
3. It should've had civilian contestants. But hey NBC did it, why not Fox because it's much better than those ABC prime time all-star games.
