The BBC has announced a new music-themed game show with a line-up full of recognisable faces.

Mo Gilligan hosts the UK adaptation of That's My Jam (which Jimmy Fallon hosts in the US) with Britain's Got Talent's Alesha Dixon, RuPaul's Drag Race UK's Michelle Visage, and Glee's Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale kicking off the first episode.

In terms of guest stars, there'll be musicians, including Aloe Blacc, Becky Hill, Donny Osmond, Jason Derulo, Nsync's Joey Fatone, Pussycat Dolls Kimberley Wyatt and Nicole Scherzinger, Salt N Pepa's Sandra Denton and Cheryl James, Tom Grenna and Boyz II Men's Wanya Morris.

From the world of TV we've got: Glee's Amber Riley, The Lord of the Rings' Billy Boyd, Grey's Anatomy's Camilla Luddington and Chris Carmack, Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause and Mary Fitzgerald, Drag Race's The Vivienne and Courtney Act, The Office's David Koechner and Lucy Davis, comedians Gina Yashere and Reggie Watts, EastEnders actor and DJ Patsy Palmer, talk show legend Ricki Lake, rugby player Thom Evans, and Lucifer's Tom Ellis. The series was actually filmed out in Los Angeles, hence why there are more US names than you might expect.

In a press release, Mo stated that his favourite game on the show might be Wheel of Impossible Karaoke, and that the funniest moment from the whole series would be Salt N Pepa playing Catch the Mic, so keep an eye out for that one.

The eight-part series will be broadcast on BBC One from Saturday, December 17 at 9pm, following the Strictly Come Dancing final.

Astro in Malaysia has acquired Fremantle's entertainment gameshow format Family Feud, with plans to return it to screens in the country after an absence of almost 15 years.

The broadcaster is planning multiple language versions of the format, set to debut in mid-2023.

The format sees features competing teams of five members, which can either be family members or celebrity teams. The host poses a question which has already been surveyed across 100 people and the first team to buzz in with an answer that matches one of the survey's responses, gains control of the game board. The first team to reach the highest number of points is the winner and goes on to play in the final for the big prize.

Created by Goodson/Todman in 1976, Family Feud aired across a variety of channels in Malaysia, including TV3 and Ntv7, from the mid 1990s until 2009. The format has also been produced in Asian countries such as China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Hong Kong, with broadcaster TVB picking up the rights last year. .

Now......think smart about tt this next one..............

Banijay has optioned the rights for survival game show format The Genius Game from South Korean media giant CJ ENM, for adaptation in the UK, Denmark and Norway.

Banijay labels Mastiff TV Denmark, Mastiff TV Norway and the UK's Remarkable Entertainment will produce local versions of the format, which tests players' intelligence and social savviness.

These latest deals follow the launch of the Netherlands version of the show, The Genius: The Netherlands, which debuted in October.

In the show, contestants are chosen based on their social IQ, charisma, charm, and intelligence to participate in a battle of wits and manipulation. Players compete in the 'Main Match' and the 'Death Match', to challenge their analytical reasoning, attention to detail, memory, and loyalty. In order to become the Genius, players must form secret alliances and decide who to trust and who to betray in order to increase their chances of survival.

"The Genius Game is an entertaining, high-stakes, social game which has generated significant international interest. We have experienced and talented creatives in the UK, Denmark, and Norway who are ready to bring this psychological social experiment to audiences," said James Townley, global head of content development at Banijay.

Diane Min, head of format sales at CJ ENM, meanwhile said that The Genius Game "is a show that can entertain viewers from all territories. As a multi-season mega-hit show in Korea, bolstering our IP in a local format will bring so much fun and thrill to its viewers as well."

And finally.......A conservative group somewhere in Missouri had been asked not to sing the words "In My Mind" when all churches across the country sing "Silent Night." This is to not confuse those who think its the Temptations version back in 1980. This version in general is mostly played on Urban and AC radio stations right around Christmas time and one group decides that it's against the law to do so. In it, one member of a group said.........................

Looks like something came to mind. It's................

90 seconds to talk about the GSN classic screen problems  starting from.......

GSN has finally brought back the classics block but don't get your panties or your boxer shorts up in a bunch. When viewing them, you mnight have a 4:3 screen to make it look 16:9. Press Your Luck for instance has some things you can't see like the whole big board or the scoreboards. It's not the fault of your set, it's GSN's. Don't freak out, go stir crazy or something like that. GSN has decided to make sure it fits your screen by using 4:3 and using a holiday border in between the show so that you can actually see Dawson, Perry, Ludden and Tomarken all back on the network in a long time since.........the 2010s. Wild isn't it? So you might as well watch something on your HDTV rather than your old TV you had at the Goodwill 20 years ago. Weird.
