The Double Toasted opening toss up story.

FOX Television Stations has announced the return of "You Bet Your Life," set to debut in Fall 2021. The half-hour comedy game show will be hosted by Jay Leno and broadcast on the FOX owned-and-operated stations, as well as syndicated nationally. Tom Werner will serve as the executive producer, along with showrunner and executive producer, David Hurwitz.

"We need a familiar face to make us laugh and we are incredibly proud and excited to reinvent this renowned franchise with the enormously talented Jay," stated Jack Abernethy, CEO, FOX Television Stations.

Jay Leno added, "I'm thrilled to be hosting the latest version of 'You Bet Your Life.' One of my favorite things to do is talk to regular people and draw humor out of them. This is a comedy show wrapped in a game show that allows me to do just that."

Hosted by Jay Leno, this new incarnation of the legendary game show "You Bet Your Life," will preserve the show's trademark humorous interviews and unpredictable banter with each contestant, famously originated by Groucho Marx. For this reboot, the game will couple two strangers together for the opportunity to win prize money by correctly answering questions about pre-determined categories. Each episode will present two pairs of contestants.

180 episodes of "You Bet Your Life" will be distributed by FOX First Run.

Me: Hi kids, we're back.

(song fades out)

Tee hee hee hee hee, Wipeout!

Multifaceted megastar John Cena (Fast & Furious 9, The Suicide Squad) and Emmy-nominated comedian and actress Nicole Byer (Nailed It!, Girl Code) have signed on to host TBS' revival of the adrenalizing and outrageous physical competition series Wipeout. Cena and Byer will command the hysteria of the fan-favorite series by serving up commentary tailored to the all-around hilarity and thrill of the heart-pumping competition, with Camille Kostek (I Feel Pretty) complementing their presence by serving as the entrenched Host in the Field, covering the contestants' progress throughout each intense round.

The re-imagined series will feature new twists and elements that will push contestants' athleticism, approach, and determination to even greater extremes, all while delivering some wildly epic fails! Each game is three rounds with each round featuring a jaw-dropping, multi-stage obstacle course with numerous strategy and decision points designed to further challenge the stamina of the competitors and deliver even more hilarious and surprising wipeouts! And of course, the iconic staple of the show - the big balls! - are returning with a vengeance.

"I couldn't be more excited for what's in store for this radically absurd show that has its own fair share of legendary faceplants." said John Cena. "The power of Wipeout is its ability to gather people of all backgrounds for fast paced, physical FUN! I look forward to seeing fan responses both new and existing. This'll be a hosting experience unlike anything I've ever done! I can't wait to get started in rooting for our contestants!"

"Now more than ever we need a ton of fun and laughs," said Nicole Byer, "and there's nothing funnier than people falling over giant red balls. Wipeout is truly insane, and I'm tickled to be a part of this beloved show's comeback."

"We couldn't be more excited to have John, Nicole and Camille take charge of this outrageously unpredictable, family-friendly competition series, said Matt Kunitz, Creator/Showrunner/Executive Producer of Wipeout. "Having a sports titan and movie star next to an Emmy-nominated comedy star, alongside a seasoned co-host, they'll complement one another with their own fantastic qualities and humor while livening the already extreme setting of Wipeout."

"Wipeout has always delivered a great deal of light and laughter in dark times - whether that was in 2008 when it first premiered in the midst of a massive recession or now again, in 2020," said Corie Henson, EVP, Head of Unscripted for TNT, TBS and truTV. "This is one show that brings people together - regardless of age, race or politics. With megastar John Cena and hilarious Emmy nominee Nicole Byer, and with the help of rising star, Camille Kostek, as our host in the field, Wipeout is going to be bigger, badder and ballsier than ever before."

Note: This is a remake of the ABC version, not the 1988-89 opus with Peter Tomarken.

How Big is this next story?

TBS has ordered a full season of Go-Big Show, an hour-long extreme talent competition starring celebrity judges Snoop Dogg, Rosario Dawson, Jennifer Nettles and "The American Nightmare" Cody, and hosted by popular comedian Bert Kreischer. The show's pick-up was announced by the host and judges this evening from the set in Macon, GA and broadcast simultaneously across TBS, TNT and truTV, marking the three networks' inaugural roadblock announcement.

Go-Big Show showcases supersized talents on a scale never before seen on television. Featuring monster trucks, alligator trainers, stunt archery and other radical feats, the program celebrates daring acts alongside personal, behind-the-scenes stories from the challengers as they battle head-to-head to impress the judges and advance toward the finale's ultimate $100,000 prize.

Go-Big Show has begun production on 10 episodes at the Macon Coliseum, where contenders and staff are operating under strict Covid-19 safety protocols and isolating together for the duration of production. TBS is producing this series in consultation with local authorities, the unions and medical experts. The network's first priority is the health and safety of employees, production partners, cast and crew.

While the 7,000 seats within the arena will remain empty during tapings, the show's lively indoor festivities will extend outdoors to TV's first-ever, interactive drive-in audience. Spectators will cheer for their favorite competitors in real time during a socially-distanced tailgate party just outside the venue which follows Macon-Bibb County Commission's Covid-safety mandates.

"Go-Big Show celebrates unique, untraditional and unforgettable American talent," said Corie Henson, EVP and head of unscripted programming for TBS, TNT and truTV. "Each contestant brings tremendous heart and swagger, which also perfectly describes Bert and our judges, a dream team of larger-than-life talent."

"We are going bigger and bolder with our unscripted line-up at TBS to provide more of the content that viewers love from our platform," said Brett Weitz, General Manager, TNT, TBS and truTV. "Go-Big Show not only delivers on this promise with a thrilling new take on talent competition, but it's also another example of our innovative spirit as we continue to create brand-defining, must-watch television."

Debuting on TBS in 2021, Go-Big Show is produced by Propagate and Matador Content, a Boatrocker Company. The series is executive produced by Todd Lubin and Jay Peterson of Matador Content; Howard T. Owens, Ben Silverman, and Greg Lipstone of Propagate Content; showrunner Conrad Green; Bert Kreischer, Snoop Dogg and Ted Chung for Snoopadelic Films.

Woof.

Robin Thede will judge HBO Max's dog grooming competition series, "Haute Dog."

Thede will join celebrity dog groomer Jess Rona to judge the competition, while Matt Rogers will serve as the host.

The series will debut Sept. 24 with the first six episodes.

Billed as "the most adorable competition series ever created," each episode features three dog groomers facing off over two rounds. Rogers will provide comedic commentary and Rona will lead the judging panel with her "extensive knowledge of breeds and proper grooming techniques."

Thede will serve as the "haute" expert and evaluate the outrageous and jaw-dropping transformations. The judges determine who wins Best in Show and the lucky groomer will walk away with $10,000 and a first place rosette.

The series was inspired by celebrity dog grooming expert Jess Rona's social media presence and coffee table book "Groomed."

Gordon Ramsay will host new BBC game show Bank Balance, the U.K. public broadcaster said Friday.

He will be "stepping into his first-ever role as host" for the primetime show, produced by his Studio Ramsay, for flagship network BBC One, it said.

Bank Balance is described as "a high-stakes, high-pressure, game show where contestants test their poise, precision, knowledge and nerve to succeed to build themselves a fortune, or see it come crashing down in an instant."

Said Ramsay: "This is going to be truly epic. It is such an intense game with so much jeopardy to win big and lose even bigger, where the difference between failure and success is always in the balance. I'm so happy to be working with the fantastic team at the BBC and cannot wait to get in the studio and start stacking those gold bars!"

Said Kate Phillips, controller of entertainment commissioning at the BBC: "Bank Balance is a great format where contestants need to balance nerve with knowledge. And Gordon will be a formidable and unforgettable host."

Filming will start later this year. Jo Wallace will serve as the show's executive producer for the BBC. For Studio Ramsay Fernando De Jesus, Tom Day, Sam Smaïl and Bronson Payne will produce, with Ramsay and chief creative officer Lisa Edwards as executive producers.

Now we bank on a Mistplay Game Break. Time once again for America's fastest growing foodie sensation:

Name That Southern Food. Guess the dish with these clues:

"Don't Say a word and don't you bark, I'm the one side dish that'll make your seafood spark."

Think about that after a Pandora song break from another act already signed to teh Game Show Honors, Brittany Luberda going all beauty shop quartet.............up in here.

Really.........cool. But sincerly, I must give you the answer and it is......................Hush Puppies.

The first recorded use of the word "hush-puppy" dates to 1899.[4] The name is often attributed to hunters, fishermen, or other cooks who would fry some basic cornmeal mixture (possibly that they had been bread-coating or battering their own food with) and feed it to their dogs to "hush the puppies" during cook-outs or fish-fries.[5] Other legends date the term to the Civil War, in which Confederate soldiers are said to have tossed fried cornbread to quell the barks of their dogs.
